Are you young or old and ambitious, with a great idea for a new venture; or you want to take your existing undertaking to a new level, but do not know how to turn your dream concept into a thriving business? You are probably not alone in this dilemma but first of all, we need to congratulate you because you have an idea which means you can think and this is the first step to achieving progress in life.

Ideas rule the world, particularly in Africa where much thought is not given to this four letter word. It is not news in this part of the world that it is no longer “business as usual”. Gone are the days when the word “contractor” signified a noble profession or symbol status and the word “import/export” echoed millions of naira with Nigeria turning to a dumping ground of some sort importing everything including toothpick and orange juice. The party seems to be over now. We are faced with reality and may just have no other option but to use our head and think ahead.

Whether you are a Banker, Public Servant, Lawyer, Engineer, Artist, Market Woman, Clerk, Labourer, Foremen, or Head of Business, your lot in life is no longer guaranteed by an easy 8-6 job. You probably by now would have found out that the notion of a steady job or lifetime employment is by no means a sure thing anymore. The white-collar job of bringing the bacon home with a university degree is a belief that is just about bitten the dust for good. It is simply no longer in vogue.

Today, many of us have come to accept the fact that we could be fired at any time. In other words, placing your bet on a career with a big company carries as much risk as starting your own business. It is sad however that adult world says that entrepreneurs are born, not made. This is preposterous nonsense.
With that in mind, would you like to compile the necessary resources to start a business, run a business from home or away from home, gain control over your income, make your passion your job and earn heavily from it, exercise a measure of control over your time and destiny, as well as locate the information and skills to support every step of the process? If you answered yes to any of theses questions, you will need to be properly guided on the process from starting a business and getting funding to growing and sustaining it. This blog will be your best resort.

Today the number of businesses running from home and away from home are increasing at a greater rate than ever before. People of different backgrounds are becoming great entrepreneurs by offering services and products from their homes and away from home that meet the needs of customers. Especially with the help of technology, distance is no longer a barrier on who and where your customers may be located neither is not having an office space a limitation from making a living from home and away from home. So you can.

But to be an entrepreneur, there must first of all be a burning desire in your heart to achieve. In the quite of your solitude, close your eyes, bow your head, grit your teeth, clench your fists ache in your heart, vow and dedicate your self to achieve and you will achieve.
I will like to x-ray the profile of a world-class entrepreneur, a young trailblazer from a very humble background who has carved a path to success in the computer industry by name Michael Dell the founder of and CEO of Dell Computer Corporation.
Michael Dell was born on February 23, 1965, in Houston Texas, and quickly become  familiar with the challenges of the world early and from age 16 to 17 he sold stamp and newspaper to survive before he enrolled at the University of Texas to study biology in 1983.
While in school, he noticed that the local computer dealers were receiving more IBM PC's than they could handle. He arranged to purchase surplus computers from the stores at cost, then added features such as more memory and larger disk drives. He advertised in small one-column ads, offering the computers at 10 to 15 percent below retail, literally selling from trunk of his car.
Dell hid his enterprise from his family initially, but when sales reached $50,000 per month, he broke the news. His parents agreed to let him sell computers during his summer vacation, but if it didn't work out he'd return to school and study medicine. On May 3, 1984, with $1,000 in savings, 18 year-old Michael Dell launched the Dell Computer Corporation. He opened an office and continued with his winning formula. His first month sales exceeded $180,000. Within four months, the company was manufacturing and selling its own computers.
Determined to succeed, Dell worked 18 hour everyday. In January 1986, the company reported annual sales of $34 million. Eighteen months later, on the day Dell would have graduated from college, annual sales increased to $70 million. As the company grew and the founder was cast into a management role, he never lost his passion for the technology. On one occasion, the engineering team had to literally throw him out of his own building in the middle of the night because they could not make progress with "the boss" looking over their shoulders.
Dell attributes his astonishing success to his direct-marketing strategy, which eliminates costly retailers or distributors. Every computer is built to customers specification after order is received, resulting in low inventory cost.
However, the market did not automatically respond to yet another mail order house. Dell invented considerable effort to differentiate his company from the thousands easy come, easy go ventures by getting his computers in front of industry analyst and writers.
Today Dell Computer Corporation is the world's largest direct marketers of computer systems and, in fact, one of the world's biggest computer manufacturers. The company employs more than 35,000 people worldwide. More than 90 percent of it sales are made to business and government agencies.
Mr. Dell is 49 years and he is one of the most established CEOs in the computer industry in the world, happily married with four children. If Michael Dell can do it, yes you can. Sure you can.
